Okanogan County Arrest Records
Okanogan County arrest records are maintained by the Sheriff's Office in Okanogan under Sheriff Paul D. Budrow. The county provides a daily booking log updated Monday through Friday, along with a PDF list of active warrants. This page explains how to access those records, what the Corrections Center holds, and where to look for related court data.
Okanogan County Overview
Active Warrants
The Okanogan County Warrants page publishes active warrants as a downloadable PDF. If you know the location of a wanted individual, you can report it by calling 509-422-7232. The county takes warrant tips seriously. This database exists to help law enforcement, not to facilitate other purposes.
The county includes a warning on the warrants page: using the warrant database to commit a criminal act may result in prosecution. The list is public, but it exists for lawful purposes only. If you find your own name on the warrant list, the right move is to contact an attorney and address the matter in court rather than avoid it.
Warrants can arise from missed court dates, probation violations, or failure to comply with a court order. They do not expire on their own. An active warrant stays on record until a judge recalls it or until you are taken into custody and appear before a court. The longer a warrant sits unresolved, the more likely it is to affect other aspects of your life.
Daily Booking Log
The Okanogan County Booking and Inmate Log page offers two separate documents. A monthly booking log in PDF format covers the full prior month. A daily inmate log PDF is updated Monday through Friday and shows who is currently in custody. Weekends and holidays are not updated until the next business day.
The daily log is one of the more useful tools available. It reflects current custody status, so if someone was booked over the weekend, you can check Monday for that information. The monthly log is better for retrospective research if you are looking for a specific booking that happened earlier in the month or in a prior period. Both are free to access and do not require an account or login.
Washington's Public Records Act (RCW 42.56) covers these records. The county must make them available promptly. If the PDFs are not loading or are out of date, contact the Sheriff's Office directly at 509-422-7200. Select option 1 for Corrections, option 2 for Dispatch, or option 3 for Records and Civil matters.
Okanogan County Corrections Center
The Okanogan County Corrections Center has grown significantly since it opened in 1983. The original structure held 67 inmates. Expansions in 2000, 2002, and 2003 brought the current capacity to 194 beds. The facility houses all individuals arrested in Okanogan County, covering both misdemeanor and felony charges.
Programs at the facility include Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, religious services, GED education, and health education covering STDs, HIV, and Hepatitis C. These programs run alongside the standard custody operations. For those not requiring full incarceration, the county offers alternatives: electronic home monitoring, work release, and work crew programs.
Work crews handle practical tasks in the community. Duties include illegal dump cleanup, litter control, and maintenance at fairgrounds and parks, as well as noxious weed removal. The Corrections Center partners with the National Forest Service and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife on some of these projects. Alternatives to incarceration are determined by the court and managed by Corrections staff.
